About These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Mirae Connext website, including any inquiries or project requests submitted through the website. These Terms do not, by themselves, create a paid expert consultation or research engagement. Any paid engagement will be governed by the applicable proposal, statement of work, client agreement, or other written agreement accepted by the parties. If there is any conflict between these Terms and a separately signed agreement, the signed agreement will prevail.

How these Terms apply

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Mirae Connext website, including any inquiries, project briefs, or service requests submitted through the website. The website provides information about our expert consultation, expert sourcing, market research, and related project-support services. The availability and scope of any service will depend on the specific requirements of each project. Submitting an inquiry or project brief does not create a paid engagement, guarantee that an expert will be available, or require either party to proceed. A paid engagement begins only when the parties accept an applicable proposal, statement of work, order form, client agreement, or other written agreement. For most targeted requests, we aim to provide an initial shortlist of qualified experts within 24–48 hours. Timing may vary depending on the market, required seniority, project complexity, compliance requirements, and expert availability. We use reasonable efforts to identify experts whose professional backgrounds align with the client’s research objectives. However, we do not guarantee that the first profile presented will be selected or that any particular expert will be available. If these Terms conflict with a separately accepted written agreement governing a specific engagement, the terms of that written agreement will prevail.

Standards for every engagement

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and sufficiently detailed information about their research objectives, project requirements, scheduling needs, and any relevant legal or compliance restrictions. Clients must use our services only for lawful and legitimate business or research purposes. They must not request, encourage, or permit an expert to disclose confidential, proprietary, restricted, or unlawfully obtained information, including material non-public information. Experts participate as independent professionals and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Mirae Connext unless expressly stated otherwise. Their opinions and statements reflect their own professional experience and judgment. Confidentiality and compliance are built into our workflow. Experts may be screened for potential conflicts and briefed on the standards governing each engagement. Before participating, experts must agree to the relevant confidentiality and compliance terms. We share only the information reasonably necessary to assess expert suitability, coordinate the consultation, and provide the agreed services. Project information may be limited, sanitized, or anonymized where appropriate. Clients must also protect confidential information received from Mirae Connext or an expert. Where the parties enter into a separate non-disclosure agreement, that agreement will govern the handling of confidential information. Mirae Connext may decline, suspend, or discontinue any request that presents legal, ethical, confidentiality, conflict-of-interest, sanctions, fraud, or other material compliance concerns.

Fees, scheduling, and payment

Fees, applicable taxes, currency, payment schedules, invoicing requirements, and any project-specific expenses will be described in the relevant proposal, order form, statement of work, or client agreement. Unless expressly stated otherwise, submitting an inquiry through the website is free and does not create a payment obligation. Consultations are subject to expert availability and confirmation. A proposed time is not considered final until the consultation has been confirmed through the applicable scheduling process. Clients should request cancellations or scheduling changes as early as reasonably possible. Late cancellations, rescheduling requests, shortened consultations, or no-shows may result in fees where specified in the applicable proposal or written agreement. If an expert becomes unavailable, Mirae Connext may offer to reschedule the consultation or identify a suitable alternative. We do not guarantee that a replacement expert will have identical experience or availability. Approved travel, translation, interpretation, document preparation, or other additional project costs may be charged separately where agreed in advance. Failure to make a payment when due may result in the suspension of ongoing work or future services, subject to the applicable written agreement and governing law. Any refund, credit, or billing adjustment will be determined according to the terms of the relevant engagement and the circumstances of the request.

Ownership, permitted use, and service limitations

The Mirae Connext website, branding, logos, page design, original written content, databases, processes, and other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to Mirae Connext and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and use the website for legitimate business purposes. You may not reproduce, republish, scrape, distribute, reverse engineer, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from website content without prior written authorization. Clients retain ownership of the information and materials they provide, subject to the limited rights necessary for Mirae Connext to assess the request and deliver the agreed services. Experts retain ownership of their pre-existing knowledge, experience, methodologies, and materials. Ownership and permitted use of any project-specific report, recording, transcript, presentation, or other deliverable will be determined by the applicable written agreement. Our services may rely on third-party providers for email, hosting, scheduling, payments, cloud storage, communications, or virtual meetings. Use of those services may also be subject to the providers’ own terms and privacy policies. Expert consultations are intended to provide professional perspectives and information based on the expert’s experience. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, they do not constitute legal, medical, tax, accounting, investment, or other regulated professional advice. Mirae Connext does not guarantee a particular commercial result, investment outcome, business decision, or level of accuracy from any consultation. Clients remain responsible for independently evaluating the information received and making their own decisions. Any disclaimers, exclusions, or limitations of liability will apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and may be supplemented by the relevant client agreement.

Changes, termination, and contact

Mirae Connext may restrict or suspend access to the website or decline to provide services where reasonably necessary to protect security, confidentiality, legal compliance, the rights of third parties, or the integrity of our operations. Either party may discontinue discussions before a paid engagement is accepted. The suspension or termination of an active engagement will be governed by the applicable proposal, statement of work, client agreement, or other written terms. We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, operational practices, or legal requirements. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Changes will not retroactively alter separately signed agreements unless the parties agree otherwise. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or of the right to enforce it later. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
